Sakiko Nomura’s Photo Exhibition “Matsumoto Koshiro X – Zanmu (My Last Remaining Dream)” will be held on the 8F of Shibuya Hikarie “8/CUBE.” A this exhibition, you can view works taken by Sakiko Nomura over the course of nearly 17 years of performances and backstage scenes of Ichikawa Somegoro VII (as he was called at the time). The works intentionally show the world of kabuki in black and white. The facial expressions and movements of the roles played by Somegoro reveal the true nature of the roles. Please take this opportunity to view these miraculous moments taken by the photographer Sakiko Nomura. The photo collection Zanmu (My Last Remaining Dream) (Limited first printing of 2,000 numbered copies) will be on sale at the venue. The collection contains a total of 593 roles, starting from his first performance as Matsumoto Kintaro III through to his final performance on November 25th, 2017, as Ichikawa Somegoro VII.
